We are a community building relationships by sharing faith experiences in order to nurture growth in faith and practice. We give encouragement through scripture and a sincere desire to actively build up others. We pray for each other creating a cycle of spiritual growth to become more like Jesus.

Why 41
Once I heard a speaker reference the number"40" in the Bible - that number was used so many times in the bible - usually for difficult days, years or journeys, for times of fasting, praying, repenting...Moses, Israelites spying the land, wandering in the desert and there are many others. Jesus praying and fasting and being tempted by the devil for 40 days and nights is what I think about the most.
Picture for a moment and feel how intensely difficult that was for our Savior knowing the burden he was about to bear for you and me and remaining faithful through temptation and hunger and prayer so deep, he was sweating blood.
For me - 41 represents many things... The time after difficulty, the time after prayer that led Jesus to death and resurrection, the time after fasting, the time after sacrifice. Today for me, it is a symbol that even through the most difficult times, there is the "1" - the time for a second, third or more chances... A new beginning of grace after being tested.
I used to tell my girls when they were growing up; "you can do anything for a short period of time". Now I'm not saying 40 of anything is a short period of time but I wanted them to know that nothing in their lives is so hard that they cannot get through it. We used that perspective many times where they wanted to quit or felt like life was kicking them in the pants more than it should and we always talked about the next day or the next period of time and how prayer could get us through to the next time and at some point, whatever was the biggest struggle in their life....wasn't.
All of that is why "41" means so much to me - it is my compass for prayer and remembering Jesus is with me ALL the time so I can get through anything until I get to the "1".

Pray gratitude that we have a way to our Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus and the line that was drawn when Jesus was crucified and rose on the third day. He has dominion over death! All Glory be to God.!
